Emergency First Aid CRP/AED Level C

This basic one-day course offers lifesaving first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for the workplace or home for adults, children, and infants as well as the use of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs). The course meets legislation requirements for provincial/territorial worker safety and insurance boards and includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines. For individuals who are currently certified and coming to the end of their 3 year validation date, this course provides one day training for recertification.

Upon successfully finishing the Red Cross Emergency First Aid / CPR C certification training, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the history and purpose of the Red Cross.
  • Know how to be prepared for emergency situations.
  • Understand the EMS Systems.
  • Be able to properly use the CCC Method. (Check, Call, Care)
  • Identify and apply first aid to Airway, Breathing, and Circulation Emergencies.
  • Identify and apply first aid to Cardiac Arrest emergencies.
  • Provide emergency Wound Care.

Intermediate First Aid CPR/AED Level C

Training consists of a comprehensive two-day course, covering first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for adults, children and infants, and the proper use of AEDs. This course meets the requirements for Provincial/Territorial worker safety, Insurance Boards, and includes the most up-to-date First Aid and CPR Guidelines.

Upon successfully finishing the Red Cross Standard First Aid / CPR C certification training, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the history and purpose of the Red Cross.
  • Know how to be prepared for emergency situations.
  • Understand the EMS Systems.
  • Be able to properly use the CCC Method. (Check, Call, Care)
  • Identify and apply first aid to Airway, Breathing, and Circulation Emergencies.
  • Identify and apply first aid to Cardiac Arrest emergencies.
  • Identify and apply first aid to Head, Neck, and Spinal Injuries.
  • Identify and apply first aid to Bone, Muscle, and Joint Injuries.
  • Provide emergency Wound Care.
  • Know the proper procedures for sudden medical emergencies.
  • Know how to provide care and stay safe during Environmental Illnesses.
  • Understand the procedures in case of contact with, or the ingestion of, poison.

Intermediate First Aid CPR/AED Level C one day Renewal

Must have a current certification and provide a copy on the day of training

Training consists of a one-day course, covering first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for adults, children and infants, and the proper use of AEDs. We recommend prior to your recertification that the reading material be reviewed from the previous course as this is a very skills and scenario focused day. This course meets the requirements for Provincial/Territorial worker safety, Insurance Boards, and includes the most up-to-date First Aid and CPR Guidelines.

Our comprehensive online learning then 1-day in-person Canadian Red Cross Blended Standard First Aid with CPR/AED (Level C) course is a fun and comprehensive first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) course.  This first aid course covers everything from life-threatening emergencies to minor bumps and scrapes and is recognized by Alberta OHS.

This is the course most commonly requested by employers and employees alike!

Red Cross & Heart and Stroke Courses

Red Cross BLS (Basic Life Support) – 1 Year Certificate

Designed to build participant confidence in performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills in a team environment for professionals with a duty to respond. Teaches the important steps to perform a rapid assessment, perform Basic Life Support (BLS) skills, and perform rapid defibrillation including use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Airway Management and Oxygen Therapy can also be added as additional certifications to this course.

Audience

  • In-facility care providers, including nursing staff, care aides, medical and dental professionals. Pre-hospital care providers, which may include professionals in a fire service, rescue team, sports-medicine, lifeguards and ski patrol.

Duration

  • Stand-alone course – 4 hours
  • With Airway Management – 5 hours
  • With Oxygen Therapy – 5 hours
  • With Airway Management and Oxygen Therapy – 6 hours

You will learn single- and multi-rescuer basic life support skills with a focus on high-quality CPR and team dynamics in a wide variety of prehospital or in-facility settings. . Certification is often required for education programs and employment in the healthcare field. Schedule your spot at the location of your choice – we bring the training right to your doorstep!! Firehalls, community Centers, a group of colleagues at a home environment to name a few examples!
